Yours and Yours alone

For several time employees who attended my talks and seminars and some of my players,  asked me why they are not performing well. And here's my very short and quick response to their question.

"Often times you find yourself not performing great because you think that to do your best and to be at your best is up to somebody. When the truth is it's yours. Yep its your responsibility. "Yours and Yours alone"

Friend, take my word on this. Its your responsibility. Be responsible and accountable.

You're a Champion

Yes you are a champion and if you think you're still not; here's some tips just for a champion like you:

Now is the time to put your ideas into action.Don't just bottle it down in your skull.
Have a good grip of your responsibility and goals.
Picture out in your mind what success gonna look like for you.
Learn more information, knowledge and skills.Keep learning.                                                                       Continue to build relationships with your coworkers., build a strong relationship with your team mates. A relationship that is built on trust.
Lastly, know what you are expected to do and accomplish.

Opportunities and Choices

Now that i have gone a little bit older ( just a little) i reflected on the opportunities and choices that i have made. Opportunities that was suppose to bring me to where i should be and choices that would lead me to the destination that i want. But i wasted it. I wasted it by hanging around wrong people, i wasted it because of fears, i wasted it because i thought i'm not good enough, that i am short, that i am poor and sickly.
I wasted it because i don't even know what i really wanted in life.Don't follow my track. Know what you want and appreciate and take advantage of the opportunities and choices that is now right in front of you.

Life is all about choices and opportunities, no matter what you do and where you are or where you come from. I encourage you to look at life through the lens of Jesus Christ because through it you will realize the daily opportunities that you have.Wrong choices and not seeing opportunities as opportunities snared me and i have learned my lesson. ( the hard way ).

Just a Suggestion

Do you want to die so soon? Some are actually dead even if they are still 19 but their bodies will be buried when they are 80 or something. Its because they stop dreaming!
Dreaming is one of your rights and one of your greatest need. So dream! dream big dreams and act on your dreams.
Parents, teach your kids to dream or others will dream for them.

Go for Your Goals

Dear Friend,

I just realized that growing up in your generation today is really difficult.. You face more difficult choices and you struggle with all sorts of temptations and pressures more than what i experience in my time.(just to make things clear, my generation is not the ancient Mesopotamia okay).

Knowing that you have a much greater struggle to face, i offer you this few lines that i hope will inspire you:

Accept all the challenges and face it with determination and perseverance and with gratefulness.

Your generation indeed offers you a lot of pressures and reasons to quit reaching for your goals but be thankful because you are in a time and season that offers tremendous and amazing opportunities.

Find what you truly want in life and love to do.

Work hard to achieve your dreams and keep learning and unlearning.

Strive to live a life with integrity, fairness and hope.

Discipline yourself.

and lastly, keep God as your Light.

I strongly believe you will finish strong.Go for your goals my friend and never accept defeat.
