The Comfort Room

Do you need enough power to fuel you in your life's journey?

Recently i have the privilege of talking to Brother Rudy Reuyan, a very humble church leader,a good provider, husband and father to his family and a very honest and hard working Division Manager of Cebu Holdings/Ayala Malls. He told me that before he came to where he is right now and before he became what he is right now he went into a difficult journey.

Brother Rudy shared to me that after his marriage he and his family went into terrible financial needs. For eight years he can't find a job, they don't have their own house and they are surviving and living in a day to day basis.Failing to find a permanent work he ventured to small photography business and an extra job as home service appliances technician. But what he earns from this sources aren't enough to support the increasing needs of his family.

There were days that he went into sobbing and asking God to carry him and his family as they go through the day with difficulties.Prayer was his only tool and he do it like a daily ritual and in a very unusual place to pray the CR.(YES the Comfort Room)
There he pours out all his frustrations, questions, family needs and of course his dreams.Eight long years of financial needs plus other problems and eight long years of daily calling God at the CR.

For eight years he is in need but for eight years he remained faithful. For eight years he never compromised his faith and his beliefs and for eight long years he hoped and lived with expectancy. It can be tempting for anyone to grumble, get discouraged, get frustrated but not this man.God carried him all those years. One day God answered him and lead him to his divine connections and to the work God prepared for him

What will you do if life beats you down? When you are in the point of breaking down how will you face life? Like Brother Rudy instead of breaking down, you break through and choose to win in life through prayer and faith. When life grinds us we easily feel defeated but don't.God has promised that He will move if you will seek His help amidst your needs and pains.

Brother Rudy learned that during those difficult eight years God carried him and his family. He told me that those years were actually the season God polished him to be a leader who knows the importance of honesty, humility and most of all giving back to God all the glory in his daily task and success.

If God answered brother Rudy surely he will give you the desires of your heart.Keep praying and hoping and expecting the best from God.

" The power of prayer is experienced by people who believe in it enough to pursue what God has promised"

choose to win!

Today is your day to start winning

Sometimes life gets tough, serious, busy and complicated.Sometimes we don't mean it to happen but there also times that we self manufacture it.Sometimes we wake up one morning to find out that fun had slipped away. Then the feeling that its hard to cope with life creeps in.

Here's some reasons why people can't cope with life:

They live in the past
They have low self esteem
They can't laugh at themselves

If you live with this three you will then start having a negative self talk which will result to failure, fear, procastination and on and on and on.But it is proven that positive self talk results to success , faith, champion associations plus so many other blessings.

Here's my few points to help you cope with life and become a champion:

Say this OUT LOUD!!! every day and every morning and even now right after you read this blog.

"I am a certified champion by birthright,my certificate of life gives me the right to achieve success"

"I will not let my negative defaults determine my level of success"

Now go ahead and take a deep breath and try saying it.I guarantee you'll feel better about yourself and about the achievement of your dream.Go try!

Professionalism

It is sometimes difficult to identify the true meaning of professionalism. Many individuals use professionalism as a mask to cover their lack of ability to do their work effectively.Others use it to impress and others use it to gain power.

What is professionalism then? Professionalism is generally viewed as focused, accountable, competent, confident, with respect for others and motivated towards a goal. This means you draw out the outburst and emotional thralls that accompanies stressful situations and accomplishments.

Professionalism can also be defined as adhering to the accepted standards of a profession and placing the interest of the public or the clients above the individual's immediate needs.A commitment to meet the expectations of their clients of prompt and reliable services.

Some say professionalism is all gone and people are just working for the money. That is absolutely wrong.I can prove to the world that there are still millions of workers who displays professionalism.I have proven it to my self last Saturday when i had breakfast at JOLLIBEE Mandaue ubos branch.

I went there for breakfast before my business appointment and to my surprise the crew and staff who works there were so focused with great customer service attitude inspite of their being busy. They showed great professionalism and a love for their work.Without excited, motivated and workers that works with professionalism a company will not be able to stay dedicated and focused for the long haul.Congratulations to the staff and crew of JolliBEE Mandaue ubos branch especially those who are on duty last Saturday March 13,20010 for being professional and for loving your job and your customers.Professionalism is not yet gone because of you.Congratulations!

I wanted to take this day off but i can't help my self but write something about the wonderful fourth year students of Guilhungan National High School.During the retreat i discovered their not easy experiences in life. "Persistence means taking pains to overcome every obstacle, to do all that's necessary to reach your goal"

No Fear

Hi how are you? Let me share to you this story that was shared to me by my friend just a few minutes before i conquered the great WHITE CAVE of Camp 7 together with the fantastic fourth year students of East Visayan Academy.

Don't let Fear Hold You Back

A man eager to know what lies ahead for him went to see a fortune teller. As the fortune teller looked into the magic ball he waited curiously. He noticed that the fortune teller is perspiring and shaking her head as she was looking into the magic ball. Then her facial expression said it all.She said " you will have an accident soon and you will die.How will it happen? the man asked."It will involved a vehicle probably a car, truck, motor bike or anything that has wheels and tires", the fortune teller replied.

The man went home disappointed and he keep on thinking how can he avoid the accident foretold by the woman. For two months he agonized thinking of a way.His death due to vehicular accident keeps running in his thought's day in and day out. Finally he made a decision to lock himself in his house. He never went out because of fear and he just stayed in his house for 3 long months.

One morning he decided to go to the kitchen to get some breakfast. His youngest son had left his toy bus on the stairs. The man stepped on the toy on his way down the stairs. He slipped, rolled down the stairs and knocked his head on the concrete floor and died instantly. It indeed involved a vehicle.

This is just a story but there is something to it.Not about believing the fortune tellers for sure.

Here's the moral of the story:

Don't lock yourself, your dream and your future out of fear.Live a life of purpose.Make use of your core gift.Enjoy your passion.Don't lock yourself away. You are God's redeemed child live not in fear!
